Bod Certified Organic Anti-ageing Eye Serum

I am very skeptical of wonder serums. Typical of my generation, I take any “anti-ageing” claims with a huge dose of salt.

Well, Bod’s certified organic anti-ageing eye serum has changed all that.

Firstly, due to many nights clacking away in front of my laptop, I suffer from major puffy eyes. Yes, sleep would be the obvious choice to help with that, but what about those fine, crepey lines I see creeping in these days? I wear them proudly, but sometimes they just make me look damn tired. I don’t need to look younger, but I do want to look fresher.

Firstly, this is not a serious, heavy eye cream. It’s magic is in it’s light, yet intense, ingredients. It is, by all descriptions, a serum. I wouldn’t use it for it’s moisturizing capabilities. It is a translucent serum with an orange scent, and it absorbs incredibly well.

It contains an array of superhero ingredients, including kakadu plum extract (one of the planet's highest known sources of vitamin c), gotu kola extract (excellent anti-inflammatory, aids circulation, and assists the synthesis of collagen), and malic acid (an antioxidant and mild fruit acid that assists in cell-turnover).

It is brilliant. My puffy eyes have decongested pretty much straight away, and after three days fine lines are noticeably less prominent, leaving my eye area looking fresh and smoother. I gave this to my mother-in-law to try (in her early 60’s) and she noted that her expression lines (I dislike the term “wrinkles” for all the negative connotations it now has) are much softer and less pronounced. And indeed she looks well-rested. Wonderful!

This is not a gentle product as the malic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid, which can irritate very sensitive skin. I have skin on the slightly sensitive side and it didn’t adversely affect me at all, though I only use it in the morning and do not mix it with any other product (at night I just use rosehip oil).

This product is certified organic, so if you think you need something natural but that packs a bit more of a punch I highly recommend this eye anti-ageing serum.
