Peachy cheeks
Right, I’m
going to come right out and say it. Buttne exists. And from the many emails I
get I assure you, you are NOT the only one! Let’s just say that after a winter
of thick bread, wine, lashings of butter, creamy soups, oil-drizzled potatoes
and fatty lamb chops, as well as 4 months sitting on our bums watching Master
Chef, well, I can see summer on the horizon and you are all beginning to panic.
Yours truly included! Pimples on
the behind are not pretty. They can scar and make you feel self-conscious
during intimate moments (or if you do the nude bathing thing). But, like
pimples on your face they can be eliminated with proper attention.
Food I always
look at diet first. Eat well. Eat a balanced diet, with lots of leafy greens.
Cut down on meat consumption. Eat proper portions. Drink lots of water. All the
stuff you already know and have read probably a thousand times.
Exercise Sweat for
20 minutes a day. Run. Jump. Swim. Exert yourself somehow to get the blood
pumping. No brainer. Stop thinking, start doing. Commit to a routine Each night
dry brush your body from your feet and hands towards your heart. Use long,
sweeping strokes. This will help your lymphatic system remove toxins from your
body. Pay special attention to your bottom. (As a bonus, this exercise helps
“break up” cellulite as well). Buy a good
scrub and give your butt a polish in the shower. I prefer harder granules as
opposed to jojoba wax beads on my body because my butt can take it! Just every
2nd or 3rd day is fine. Miessence Garnet Exfoliant is
great. Try to avoid body scrubs that contain excessive oils. A loofah does a
great job as well. After
drying, dab tea-tree oil on your spots. This is antibacterial and helps dry
them out. Finally, rub a couple of drops of rosehip oil into each cheek.
Rosehip oil is renowned for it’s skin healing abilities, and is great in
helping to fade or prevent any scarring. This should be your daily routine.
A’kin Pure Radiance Rosehip Oil is a real steal and works wonders.
Smooth a
mask on your butt (you heard me) once or twice a week. A clay face mask is
perfect. You want a clarifying mask, such as bod’s Deep Clarifying Mask. This helps to draw
impurities to the surface of your skin. And your bum will feel so smooth
afterwards! Maybe once
a week, slap a little self-tanner on your arse (umm – actually do your whole
body or it will look weird). I don’t know why we associate brown skin with good
health, but psychologically it will lift your spirits, you will feel healthier
and gravitate towards healthier life and butt choices. Try Vani-T Bronzing
Custard for a hint of sun-kissed skin.
Sunshine It’s easy
for me, living in the country by the beach, but clean air and sunshine are so
important to our health. Maybe you can find a window with the sun streaming in
and daily bask in it in the nude (7 minutes front, 7 minutes back). Make sure
it is in the morning or the afternoon, the midday sun is too harsh to do this
without sunscreen. Your body loves to be naked, so indulge it this and it will
love you for it.
Let your skin breathe Finally,
stick to cotton undies, and try not to slop around too much in wet swimmers.
You have to let your butt breathe as much as possible. Well, I hope I have answered all you buttne
questions. May all butts be healthy, smooth, firm and zit-free!
